Pretty while it works
I gave this as a gift to my fiance exactly 6 months ago. Moved the clock to the mantle, and it wouldn't chime. The instructions are simple, I don't even need them to figure out the mere three buttons on the clock and the switch options are "On, Off, Auto [chime alarm], Alarm [beeping alarm]" I set up a chime alarm, it didn't go off. I turned the switch to "On" and the chimes still don't go off. The clock is still working, the chimes are not. What a shame. I give it two stars because at least the clock still works and the beeping alarm.

I ordered this from Avon 1/31/2007, so I cannot comment on the this company's customer service.

Wonderful little boy and girl fountain
Country Life Fountain, is without a doubt the most precious fountain, the first one came and was broken, I immediately returned it and within 2 days I had a new one and all of this occured within 5 days. (from the order date to the date I received the second one) The second fountain had a small hole in the bottom of the top base which did not affect the water flow at all. Just a quick note, for anyone looking for a fountain, I have looked at about 30 places, and this one has such detail down to the stitching on the boy's trousers, his feet and etc. it is just wonderful, and I am glad when I called to cancel the gal said, it had already shipped, which was yesterday and I received it today, it is all hooked up and is just gorgeous. If there was a 10 rating thats where this one should be. My two Daughters gave me a gift card from Amazon and let me tell you I couldn't have picked a better gift from them. Much faster than slicing by hand....
I bought this product last year and it really is much faster than using a knife to make french-style green beans. It has held up really well and to wash it I just swoosh it around in hot soapy water and then let it air dry overnight before putting it away. The only problem I had with it was that I had trouble finding a surface to attach it too because my countertop and tables have a beveled edge. My hubby attached it to a piece of wood with straight edges and then clamped the wood onto the table top. That solved the problem of it sliding around. I would recommend this product to anyone who has a large amount of green beans to slice because it does make the job much easier and if you have a table or countertop with straight edges you'll be all set too.
